Concrete Decking Disclaimer
AAPNS does NOT recommend you install a concrete pool deck. There are a lot of reasons for this, we will highlight several of them below, but if this disclosure doesn’t dissuade you from using concrete, then you understand and agree to the below.
1. Due to soils and weather conditions in North Texas, concrete is expected to crack!
2. There are NO best practices, materials, engineering, or companies that can ensure your concrete decking wont crack.
(If someone ever figures out how to do this, they would pass Amazon to become the first Trillion Dollar company!)
3. TXDOT often uses 11” Thick concrete with #6 steel (3/4”) and it still fails at a 100% rate.
4. AAPNS’s warranty against cracking, heaving, sinking, lifting, or any other undesirable event is NONE.
5. Due to the natural nature of concrete and humans not being capable of perfection, variations in color, evenness, texture, pattern and even client expectations aren’t warrantable defects or claims.
6. There are NOT warranties of any kind, for any reason, implied or expressed in writing or verbally by AAPNS.
7. Client understands and agrees they will not make any claims or threats of any kind for any reason about concrete, practices, or workmanship. This includes those backed by 3rd parties for any reason.
8. Client understands and agrees, they are on there own if they have concrete decking and understands that AAPNS does NOT inspect, repair, or address concrete after it is poured, not even if client offers to pay for these services. Client further understands and agrees to call someone else if they want their concrete inspected or “Fixed”. AAPNS does not now or ever in the future offer this service.
9. AAPNS is only agreeing to enter into this contract to build under the condition client adheres to the above entirely.
10. At any time BEFORE the pool digs, AAPNS will refund the cost of the concrete decking you were charged. We will even reduce our guarantee construction build time by ONE WEEK as a thank you! We will finish the entire project and the client can find another company to pour their concrete. AAPNS will NOT be asked to warranty anything as a result of this work by others. AAPNS will not put our project on hold while others pour your deck, they need to be hired after your build is completed.
11. If clients wish to avoid using concrete decking they should upgrade to pavers BEFORE their pool digs.
